Baptist Assembly |
Fellowship of Texas & Oklahoma Indian Baptist.
|
| The Indian Falls Creek Baptist Assembly was begun in 1947 and
has met on the Falls Creek grounds every year since that date except 1955
when it met at Kiamichi Baptist Assembly, Talihina. Registration
at the first encampment totaled 333 and today has several thousand in
attendance. Each year Native American brothers and sisters come
from all over the United States and North America. From year to
year the camp will even have indigenous believers from South America and
countries from around the globe. The five-day camp starts on a Monday
and runs through Friday. Costs are kept to a minimum to allow all
who desire to attend to participate. Each year many children, youth,
and adults find eternal life through a personal relationship with Jesus
Christ. Each day is started with a sunrise service and devotion,
followed by a morning full of worship, Bible study, and conferences pertinent
to Native Christians. Each afternoon is full of recreation as Indian
Churches team up for softball and volleyball tournaments. For those
wishing to escape the heat of the Oklahoma sun, the swimming pool is a
welcomed relief. The evening is filled with worship and late evening
cabin devotions leaving everyone ready for lights out by 11:30 p.m.
We hope you can come be a part!
